Job Description Summary

Instruct Career and College Promise (CCP) Nursing Assistant students in classroom and clinical settings.

Duties

Instruct CCP Nursing Assistant students in classroom and clinical settings. Ensure that all training and skill activities adhere to the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

(1) BSN, ADN, or Diploma RN, (2) years minimum of direct patient care as RN, (3) Active, current unencumbered North Carolina Registered Nurse license, and (4) Possess or have willingness to obtain current American Heart Association Instructor Certification in Adult CPR.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: (1) Able to organize all documentation required by a North Carolina state approved Nurse Aide Training Program, and (2) Effectively communicate with a varied student population.

Preferred Qualifications

(1) One year experience in a long-term care facility or in providing care for the chronically ill, (2) Familiarity with local health care facilities, and (3) Experience teaching adult learners.
